Take a cycling holiday in Spain or a walking holiday in Spain and experience the country's charm and natural architecture.
Spain is an extremely popular holiday destination with many attractions and offers for tourists. Located on the Iberian Peninsula, the country is known for art, culture, sports and gastronomy.
At Bering Travel, you can enjoy a fantastic holiday out of the ordinary. Walking holidays, cycling holidays, yoga holidays and surfing are the main activities on the programme. Surfing is a water sport where you stand on a board and ‘ride’ waves approaching a beach. The board, also known as the surfboard, is usually 2-3 metres long and equipped with a fin. The surfer therefore controls the board with his body weight. He paddles out to the start and must ride a certain number of waves during competitions. Points are awarded for different ways of riding the wave, style and time, among other things. In ideal conditions, the waves can be over 1 km long and over 10 metres high.
Travelling to Spain also offers many other spectacular experiences. For example, you can also try your hand at various forms of dance, the most famous of which is the Andalusian and spirited flamenco, which is also available in many local varieties. Flamenco is danced by both men and women and is performed either as a solo dance or by two dancers facing each other. In flamenco, dancing, guitar accompaniment and singing combine with the sound of emphasised steps and stomps, rhythmic hand claps and shouts from those present to create a distinctive whole. The word flamenco itself may refer to the belief that gypsies and thus flamenco came to Spain from Flanders, or perhaps it originates from the Arabic fellah mengu, meaning ‘landless peasant’ or ‘peasant in exile’.
