Bering Travel is a Danish travel agency that since 2011 has helped our customers from all over Scandinavia to have great travel experiences. And the desire to create great experiences is the absolute cornerstone of our work. In fact, the travel agency came into being because the team behind it had a shared vision of creating a company where the customer experience is at the centre of everything we do. When you travel with Bering Travel, you'll find that we do our utmost to serve you - from the moment you visit our website for the first time until you return home from your trip. When it's your holiday, it's important that you feel well informed and well supported. Therefore, you are always welcome to call or write to us before, during or after your holiday.

Bering Travel's goal: Our ambition is nothing less than to be Scandinavia's absolute best travel agency for active travellers, measured by customer satisfaction. Therefore, we are always working to raise our level of service and to make more great active holidays available to our customers.

Active holiday

At Bering Travel, we specialise in active travel. This means that all our holidays offer active experiences in one way or another. Some of our trips are for those who enjoy one of the activities we offer at a high level, while others are for those who want to go on an active holiday where you not only get to a great holiday destination, but also challenge yourself with new exciting activities and meet new people.

Our range of active holidays includes walking holidays, cycling holidays, yoga, surfing, mountain climbing and diving.

You should know what you're buying

As part of our fundamental goal to ensure you have a great customer experience, we endeavour to always provide a thorough and detailed description of our products while ensuring that prices and offers are easy to understand. On the individual trip descriptions you will therefore find detailed descriptions of the trip and what is included as well as small bonus information, such as what scooter rental typically costs and which local culinary specialities you should try at the destination.

You'll also find that on some of our holidays we have chosen not to include the flight ticket in our offer, but encourage you to book it separately via other flight ticket search engines. This is partly to give you a clear insight into what the different parts of the journey cost, but also to ensure that you always have the opportunity to find the cheapest flight ticket to destinations where airline taxes and other circumstances mean that prices vary greatly. We are happy to help you find the right flight and we can also issue the ticket for you if you wish.

From holidays for individuals to group travel

Our trips attract many different types of travellers.
Walking holidays and cycling holidays are mainly individual trips where you are travelling without a guide and not in a group. We take care of everything in terms of route descriptions, accommodation in small hotels and luggage transport, and then it's just a matter of enjoying nature away from mass tourism.
Several times a year, we also offer camps and group trips where you can hike, practice yoga or learn to surf with other like-minded people at several of our different destinations. These trips are suitable for those who are travelling alone or for those who want to go on an active holiday with your girlfriend or best friend in a set up where you meet new people.
Most of our tours are also suitable for clubs and associations (e.g. yoga teams and diving clubs) who want to travel together and for schools, colleges and the like who want to give their students an unforgettable experience where they challenge themselves and work together as a group.

So why are we called Bering Travel?

Bering Travel is named after the Danish explorer Vitus Jonassen Bering (1681-1741). Vitus was a true Danish explorer. He dared to sail where no European had sailed before and discover the world - on the world's terms. As a result of his adventurous spirit, he has had a number of places on the globe named after him, including the Bering Sea, the Bering Strait, the Bering Glacier and most recently the Bering Space Probe. It is not without merit that he is called ‘the Danish Columbus’.

We have offices in Denmark and Norway, where our Danish and Norwegian employees are ready to help you with any questions you may have about our travels. Our Danish office is located in Glamsbjerg on South West Funen and our office in Norway is located in Ålesund.
