One of the most iconic trekking routes in Nepal is the Annapurna Circuit. This route takes you through pristine nature, lush forests and over spectacular mountain passes as you take in the sights of the Annapurna massif. Every bend in the road rewards you with panoramic views that will take your breath away and leave you feeling humbled by the overwhelming beauty of nature.
For the adventurous souls, Everest Base Camp trekking is a dream come true. Walking in the footsteps of legendary mountaineers and standing at the foot of the world's highest mountain is an experience that touches the soul. Along the way, you'll pass through charming Sherpa villages, giving you an insight into their rich culture and traditions.
Nepal also offers several lesser known but no less remarkable trekking trails. Far away from the crowds, you can choose routes like the Manaslu Circuit or Upper Mustang. These areas give you a sense of isolation and mystery as they have been opened for trekking relatively recently.
While trekking through the mountain trails, it is important to be prepared and take into account the altitude and weather conditions. Therefore, it is always recommended to have an experienced guide with you to ensure safe navigation and share knowledge about the area.
Another great aspect of trekking in Nepal is meeting the friendly and hospitable Nepalese people. Their smiling faces and warm welcome make the whole journey even more unforgettable. You'll have the opportunity to stay in local guesthouses and experience true hospitality while sharing stories with other adventurers from around the world.
Trekking in Nepal is more than just a physical challenge; it's a journey to discover yourself, experience humility towards the power of nature and gain a deeper understanding of different cultures. It's an experience that will enrich your life and give you memories to last a lifetime.
So if you're ready to explore the pristine terrain of the Himalayas, breathe in the fresh mountain air and get a glimpse of a unique country's culture, then trekking in Nepal is definitely for you. Step out of your comfort zone and let the journey begin in this breathtaking country that is home to some of the world's most impressive natural and cultural treasures.
Discover our amazing treks in Nepal
The treks we offer in Nepal all follow the same recipe. You land in Kathmandu, where you have a few days. When you arrive at the airport, you'll be met by our staff who will drive you to your hotel, located in the Thamel neighbourhood. Depending on the time of day you arrive, your guide will stop by to check that your luggage for the trip is in order. If there's anything you need, we'll make sure you have the opportunity to buy or rent it. It's possible to buy a lot of different outdoor gear in Kathmandu, but be aware that much of it is counterfeit. The day after arrival, it's time for a tour around Kathmandu. You'll see the main sights and if you've been to Nepal before, we'll make sure you see something new instead. You'll have a guide with you on the tour who can tell you about the different places in good English.
Day three is usually the start of your trip in the mountains. You'll be picked up from your hotel and either fly or drive up into the mountains depending on your chosen tour. This is where it gets wild.
The trekking days vary greatly in length. Some days you'll only trek for three hours and other days you'll walk all day. Of course, there's time for plenty of stops along the way when there's a view to be savoured and a photo to be taken. It's perfectly normal to have time for big thoughts in the mountains. It's part of the journey.
As a special feature of our trips, we include all meals on the trek and offer hot drinks three times a day. That way you know what you're dealing with. For example, you know that you shouldn't spend more than about 200 euros per week in the mountains. Much of that money will be spent on water, which gets more and more expensive the further you go up the mountains (up to three euros).
During the trek, you always have the opportunity to get in touch with us. On the voucher you'll receive, there's a number you can call 24 hours a day. That way, we'll make sure you're taken care of, no matter what situation you need help with. It's very rare that anyone needs to use this option, but it's there and you just need to take advantage of it.
