Mountaineering in Nepal
What makes mountaineering in Nepal so amazing is a mixture of several factors, such as the culture of Nepal, which is at once foreign and exotic. There are the hospitable local people who are genuinely happy to meet the travellers, but most of all, it's the scenery; the raw Himalayan mountains and the memories you take home from the trip. We can say with certainty that whichever of our mountain climbs in Nepal you choose, it will be an experience you will never forget. That time you stood on top of the mountain and saw the whole world from above. It really gives you a rush and even though it's cold at the top, you'll feel the warmth of that moment right down to the tips of your toes. It's amazing!
Challenging journeys
Before you consider climbing mountains in Nepal, it's important to prepare yourself for what's in store. You need to know that the trips are tough. Very tough. In addition to a good basic shape, the tours also require a significant amount of willpower.
The video below is a video Jeppe Tønder made from our climb of Island Peak in October 2017. The tour is exactly as described in the video and you will see exactly the same places on your way through the Himalayas. We had no idea that Jeppe made video from the trip and his video is simply amazing because it shows the trip as it is. It's tough, moving and an experience you'll never forget. The video is 40 minutes long, so sit back and enjoy.
What to bring
Once you have booked your climb in Nepal, you will receive a packing list from us. If you need to get an idea of what you need to bring on the trip before you book, please contact us so we can send it to you.
Local tour guides
We always use local english-speaking guides for all our tours. The guides all have university degrees in Tourism and have done the tour many times before. You will be in excellent hands.
Food is included
Another element where our climbs in Nepal differ from several others is that we include "All meals on the trek". This means that we have included three daily meals including hot drinks (tea, coffee, cocoa) each day. Most others only include meals on the days before you climb the mountain.
Please note that water/soft drinks are not included in the price and are purchased during the trek.
Flights to Nepal
We have chosen not to include flights in our prices. This way you can quickly check for example momondo or skyscanner and quickly see what the trip will cost on your desired dates. If you want us to arrange the flight for you, just write to us and book a quote. Either by just writing a regular email or using the form a little down the description of the trip. Remember that day one of our itineraries is the day you arrive in Nepal.
