Itinerary
Here you can see the programme for the week.
You'll arrive in Santorini, where you'll be met at the airport and driven to Kamari. Depending on when you arrive, you can explore the small town.
In Kamari, start your day with a climb to Mount Mesa Vouno, where you can visit the ruins of ‘Old Thira’. The site is an archaeological excavation.
After the visit, descend to Perissa, best known for its black beach sand and traditional tavernas. Return to Kamari by fishing boat or by bus. The choice is yours.
After a short bus ride to Fira, walk along the volcanic crater via Imerovigli to Oia. Every step you take on this hike offers new postcard motifs and stunning views. After arriving in Oia, we recommend you spend some time exploring the romantic little village before taking the bus back to your hotel.
In the morning you will be driven to Mount Profitis Elias, the highest mountain on the island. From here you'll walk along a beautiful path with stunning views of the traditional village of Pyrgos, where you can choose to visit the ruins of the old medieval castle. The route takes you back to Kamari via Mesa Gonia. Don't forget to visit the oldest church on the island, Panagia Episkopi.
From Pyrgos, walk along the island's vineyards to Vlychada, where you can be enchanted by the pumice stone formations. This is also an excellent place for a dip before returning to the hotel.
The walk on this day starts in the village of Akrotiri, which has been buried by several volcanic eruptions and we recommend that you also visit the excavations. From here you'll walk along Red Beach with the lighthouse in the background - a beautiful backdrop for a stunning photo. The lighthouse was built in 1811 on the southernmost point of the island and is still functional today. After the tour, you'll be driven back to Kamari.
After a short boat ride to the harbour of Korfos, you'll begin the ascent to Manolas, an authentic little village still unspoiled by mass tourism. From here you cross the countryside to Akrillia, a now abandoned village with ancient caves and a beautiful old church. From here you'll walk to the harbour of Riva, from where you'll take the ferry back to Kamari.
After check-out there is an individual journey home.

If you are going on a hiking holiday in Santorini in the spring months, April and May, you can expect mild temperatures between 17-25 degrees Celsius, light wind conditions, and very little rainfall.
The summer months, June, July, and August, as well as the autumn months, September and October, bring temperatures between 22-30 degrees Celsius. We recommend starting your daily stage early in the day, especially on hot days, to avoid the midday heat. During these months, wind conditions remain light, rainfall is still rare in the summer months, and slightly increases in the autumn months.
