Itinerary
Here you can see the program for the trip
You arrive in the airport in Hurghada where you are met and driven to your hotel. Once you have checked in, you can explore the hotel.
Important: The check-in time at the hotel is 12:00 on the day of arrival. If you arrive at, for example, 03:00 at night on the day of arrival, there will be a waiting time until you can access your room.
After breakfast, it's time for the first day's diving. You'll be picked up from your hotel at around 8:15am, where you'll be waiting in the hotel lobby. The trip to the marina takes place in a small van, which drives past several hotels and picks up guests who are joining the trip today.
At around 9am, the boat leaves and sails to the first dive site of the day.
Small Giftun
On dives at Small Giftun, you can encounter everything from majestic sea turtles and playful dolphins to lively schools of tropical fish and beautiful corals in every colour of the rainbow.
In addition to the real wildlife, Small Giftun also offers a number of exciting dive sites, including impressive walls, dramatic reef formations and intriguing caves to explore.
The dive trip finishes at approximately 5pm, after which you will be driven back to the hotel.
Important: We have written this itinerary on the assumption that you dive on certain days at certain sites and we describe the sites that are most commonly sailed to. The reality is that where the boats go can vary from trip to trip - it can also be places other than those mentioned here. Ideally, you'll dive a new site every day, but there may be different conditions that mean you'll dive the same site multiple times. This could be weather, wind, currents, etc. It is entirely up to the captain of the boat where the day's diving will take place.
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to the marina. Today's trip takes you to another of Hurghada's fantastic dive spots.
Abu Ramada
Abu Ramada, also known as "The Aquarium", is a popular dive site located off the coast of Hurghada in the Red Sea. This dive site is known for its amazing marine life and crystal clear waters that attract divers from all over the world.
The dive sites at Abu Ramada include a variety of terrain, including beautiful coral, steep walls and sandy bottoms. The varied topography allows divers to explore different underwater landscapes and observe a diverse range of marine life.
While diving at Abu Ramada, divers can expect to see a rich biodiversity, including tropical fish species such as parrotfish, surgeonfish, angelfish and snappers. Majestic sea turtles are also common, and it's not uncommon to encounter stingrays, moray eels and barracudas.
Visibility at Abu Ramada is generally excellent, allowing divers to enjoy clear views and discover even the smallest details of the marine environment. Diving at Abu Ramada can be practised all year round, although certain seasons may be more popular with divers due to weather conditions.
The diving trip finishes at approximately 5pm, after which you will be driven back to the hotel.

The trip starts, of course, just like the other days, where you will be picked up at around 8:15 am at the hotel after breakfast and driven to the marina. The boat leaves the harbour and before you know it, you're back at a fantastic dive spot in Hurghada.
Erg Sabina
The dive sites at Erg Sabina encompass a variety of terrain, including sand flats, coral gardens and reef formations. This variety allows divers to explore different underwater environments and observe a diverse range of marine life.

There are also opportunities to see larger pelagic species such as barracuda, tuna and rays. Majestic sea turtles are also common in the area.
Visibility at Erg Sabina is generally good, especially on clear days, allowing divers to enjoy the amazing underwater world and discover even the smallest details. Diving at Erg Sabina can be practiced all year round, but certain seasons may be more favourable due to weather and current conditions.
The diving trip finishes at approximately 17:00, after which you will be driven back to the hotel.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel at around 8:15am. After a short trip to the marina and a boat trip, you will find yourself at another beautiful dive spot.
Big Giftun
The dive sites at Big Giftun encompass a variety of terrain, including steep walls, coral, sandy bottom and reefs, offering divers different experiences.
Divers at Big Giftun can expect to see a host of tropical fish species, including parrotfish, surgeonfish, angelfish and snappers swimming among colourful coral. Majestic sea turtles are also common and it's not uncommon to encounter playful dolphins while diving.

Now it's time for the last day of diving in Hurghada. You will be picked up again at approx. 8:15 am, driven to the marina, from where the boat leaves.
Fanous
Diving at Fanous offers a wealth of dive sites with varied terrain and depths to suit different divers. From steep walls to colourful coral gardens and exciting reefs, there's something for everyone.
The marine life at Fanous is rich and diverse. Divers can expect to see everything from small, colourful fish to larger predators such as barracudas, rays and even turtles. The coral reef is healthy and lush, providing a great backdrop for diving and the opportunity to observe a wide variety of species.
The dive trip finishes at approximately 5pm, after which you will be driven back to the hotel.

You are not allowed to dive 24 hours before flying. Therefore, there is no diving on this day. But it doesn't matter, because there are plenty of other things to do. For example, a quad bike tour (to be arranged directly with our man in Egypt) or perhaps a trip to Luxor (optional when you book the tour).
Today is the last day of your dive holiday and you are driven to the airport in Hurghada.

Fantastic dives
A diving day starts early in the morning, when you will be ready at the entrance of the hotel at about 8:15. From here you are driven to the marina where the boat sets sail. Exactly where the diving takes place on the day may vary depending on where conditions are best, but you can expect to dive at: Small Giftun, Big Giftun, Abu Ramada, Shoo An Era and Abu Monar. The depth you can dive varies from site to site, but over the course of the week you can expect to dive to between 8 - 40 metres (depending on your certification).

Here you can see some of the questions we often get asked about this tour:
How is the diving on the tour organised?
Every morning you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the boat. It's important to realise that diving is mass tourism in Egypt and therefore there may be many other guests on the boats sharing the dive guides. You dive in groups. The diving is finished around 17:00-17:30, after which you will be driven back to your hotel.
When you book your trip, you have the option to choose a private dive guide either for one day (if you want a private guide on the first day to get you started) or a private guide every day.
The transfer to/from diving is a group transfer, where the car drives around and picks up guests at the different hotels. When you book the trip, you can also choose to make this private so you don't have to wait for others.
What is the included equipment like?
As mentioned, the equipment on the boats is used a lot and therefore the equipment included on the boats will often be worn out. In addition, wetsuits can have holes and other imperfections - however, the water is so warm that a hole in a wetsuit is rarely a problem. That said, the safety is good and the equipment works.
Can I experience wreck dives on the tour?
Yes, you can. It costs 70 euros for a wreck dive. If you want this, please write it in the message box when you book the tour. We need to know how many dives you want. We can also do this after you have booked the trip.
Can I dive with nitrox?
Yes, this is possible. You can coordinate this with our man in Egypt if you wish.
Where the dive trips start from
The boat departs from Hurghada.
How long are the days?
You will be picked up at the hotel between 8 and 9am (the exact time will be given to you by the person who picks you up from the airport on arrival). You'll be back at the hotel approximately between 16:00 and 17:00.
Can I get three dives in one day?
Yes, you can. It costs €35 per person per 'extra dive day'. The amount is paid locally. If you want three dives, please let us know the day before if possible - it can also be planned from home.
Which dive spots can we expect to dive at on the trip?
Exactly where the dives take place varies depending on wind and weather. Here is a list of places we often visit:
- Small Giftun
- Big Giftun
- Abu Ramada
- Erg Sabina
- Fanous
- Sha'ab El Erg (Dolphin House)
Can I take the PADI Open Water course or PADI Advanced Open Water course on this trip?
Yes you can. Regardless of which course you choose, it costs an extra DKK 1990. Please note that when you choose a course, the 10 dives are cancelled and replaced by the course. The course takes place on the boat, which means that the confined dives are also on the open sea. If you want to do this part in the hotel swimming pool instead, this is also possible.
The course will be conducted by a certified PADI Instructor. The instructor is from Egypt, which is why the course is conducted in English. Taking the course in Egypt is different from taking the course at home in Denmark. The environment in Denmark is typically calmer than in Egypt, where the dive trips/courses can feel more chaotic due to the many other guests on the boats.
What is the procedure for test dives?
If it's been more than six months since you've dived, the first dive of the trip (counts towards the 10 dives) will be a shorter test dive where the guides make sure you remember how everything works.
It is possible to get a diving licence on this trip. In that case, please note that the included dives are cancelled and replaced by a 3-5 day PADI Open Water course, which includes 4 pool dives and 4 open water dives.
If you want to take a diving certificate on your trip, you can opt for it when you book.
Here you can read our guide to diving certification.
The course is divided into three phases
- Theory - You learn the basic principles of diving
- Confined Water dives - You'll make your first dives in a safe environment (e.g. a swimming pool or shallow water). You'll be trained in basic techniques.
- Open Water dives - You'll make your first four dives in the ocean. Here you use the techniques you learnt in the previous confined water dives.
Upon completion, you'll receive an official PADI Open Water certification that you can use to have amazing diving experiences for the rest of your life anywhere in the world.
In order to take the diving licence, you must have completed this document. The rule is that if you can answer no to everything on page 1, you do not need to see a doctor. If you can answer yes to something, then you need to see a doctor and the doctor needs to complete and sign page 2.
On this tour you will stay at Jasmin Palace Resort & Spa***** which is located by the beach. The hotel will be All Inclusive.
4-star hotel
When booking the trip, you can choose to downgrade the hotel to an "unspecified 4-star hotel", which will make the trip cheaper. The hotel will also be all inclusive. See the booking form.
All Inclusive at the hotel and on diving days, lunch is served on the boat. Drinks are also included.
Important: Even though you're staying at a 5-star resort, it's important to realise that All Inclusive buffets are "OK" food, but not great. This is the case in Egypt and everywhere else (we think).
Visas to Egypt are not included in the price of this trip. Visas are arranged at the airport, so make sure to bring € 30 per person for this.
We can also arrange visas for you. If you want us to do this, you can opt-in on the booking form.
We recommend taking out travel insurance that covers at least illness, accident, repatriation, lost holiday, luggage and liability. As a customer, you are responsible for taking out the necessary travel insurance to cover these costs.
Before taking out insurance, you should check whether you are already covered by travel or cancellation insurance through your home insurance company, credit card or similar - please note that there may be differences in insurance coverage.
